Sweet Completion

After a year of planning, three months of constant building and a good amount of dollars spent, we've made it. The SolTrekker prototype is finished and the SolTrekker website (www.soltrekker.org) is up and running. Phew!
The 100 percent fossil fuel free motorhome that runs entirely on biofuel and solar power is now a reality, and it feels so good to have a business that is completely free from the mostly coal-powered grid and off the fossil fuel teat. Now the goal is to do the same with our home and all the other aspects of our lives.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen, especially Allison Hintzmann, Joe Treiber, Deb and Greg Holder of AM Solar, Greg and Bob at Kaya Construction and the crew at Monaco Coach.
The media coverage has been awesome, almost too much to keep up with as we still have a few finishing details to add before we're completely finished. For now, we'll be doing one more show in October before taking a much needed break over the winter. We'll head back out on the road next spring. The bioTrekker site will stay up and Michael will be continuing as the pilot of this (now) East Coast project.
